What airport should I fly into?
Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) is the closet airport. From there it is about a 25-30 minute drive to Detroit. You can rent a car at the airport or use rideshare services, such as Lyft and Uber, to get to Detroit.
Hotel Room Block
The bride and groom have secured a block of hotel rooms at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center (400 Renaissance Drive West, Detroit). Please use the link below to book your stay!

If you prefer to make your reservation over the phone, you may call (877) 901-6632 and reference the Neukam/Khanna Wedding.
If the room block is full, another option is the Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Downtown (333 E Jefferson, Detroit). The hotel is located directly across the street from the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center and is even connected by a skybridge.
Saturday Events
For Saturday's events, shuttle service from the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center Hotel to the wedding festivities at Masonic Temple, and back, will be provided by the bride and groom. A shuttle will run every half hour beginning at 2pm, starting at the Marriott Valet. The shuttle will run until the party ends at 1am, at which time it will bring guests back the Marriott at the Renaissance Center Hotel.
Other
Using app based services, like Lyft and Uber, are always great options.
You can also drive; there is metered street parking throughout city, as well as flat lots and parking structures (that accept cash and credit cards).
Friday - Sunset Cocktail Party
Complimentary self-parking will be available at the Beaubien Place Parking Garage located at 238 Beaubien Street, Detroit. Guests may have their parking tickets validated, prior to leaving the cocktail party, by the event planners.
Detailed directions: The Beaubien Place Parking Garage is located on the east side of the Renaissance Center Building and is marked with blue signs. It is the second parking garage on the street and is the one located closest to the river. Parking validation can only be provided for the Beaubien Garage.
Saturday - Baraat, Ceremony, Reception
Complimentary valet parking at the Masonic Temple will be hosted at the entrance located off of Second Avenue.
I've never been to an Indian wedding, what should I wear?
Indian weddings are joyful festive occasions, so colorful outfits are highly encouraged! You are welcome to wear Indian clothing or Western clothing. There is no expectation that you wear Indian clothing; the bride and groom want you to wear what you feel comfortable in! You'll want to pick something you can dance in, since that's what you'll be doing a lot of! When attending the Indian portions of the wedding celebration, avoid the color black and also the color red (as that is the color the bride traditionally wears). If you have more questions, ask the bride or her wedding planner, they are happy to help!

What colors should I avoid?
Traditionally, the bride wears white for a Catholic/American wedding ceremony, so it is advised not to wear this color. For Hindu/Punjab wedding ceremonies the bride typically wears red, so it is best to avoid wearing the same color. In Indian culture, black is another color to avoid for wedding celebrations. However, black is an acceptable color to wear to the American wedding events, such as the Catholic Wedding and Cocktail Party on Friday.
