Neil & Terra's Favorite Things to Do
Detroit Shipping Company
An indoor/outdoor facility made of shipping containers that house a food court, bars, art galleries and a stage for live music.
The Monarch Club
A great rooftop where you can catch the sunset (one of Terra's favorite activities)!
Belle Isle
Enjoy the outdoors at this island park in the Detroit River. There is an aquarium, conservatory, and much more to experience at this Detroit staple!
The Belt
Looking for a pina colada and free art in an alley? Look no further than The Belt where you'll find public art, murals and indoor/outdoor bars, such as The Skip and The Standby. The Belt is located between Broadway and Library Street and links Gratiot and Grand River.
Campus Martius Park and Woodward Ave Shopping
Campus Martius is one of the city's most visited city parks that changes with the seasons. In the summer months, you'll find it converted to a sandy beach!
Leading into the park, enjoy the great shopping along Woodward Ave!
Detroit Institute of Arts
Terra's favorite spot in the city! Check out the amazing art collection then grab a glass of wine in the ultra trendy and relaxing Kresge Court.
Eastern Market
The best time to visit the Eastern Market is on Saturday morning (between 4am and 4pm) when the market comes alive with hundreds of vendors selling everything from flowers to produce to candles. There are also food trucks and nearby restaurants and shops too - you can definitely make a morning of it!
